Organic farming is a means for poor farmers from developing countries to develop sustainably. For many years, Uganda has been a pioneer in this area.
NOGAMU, the National Organic Agricultural Movement of Uganda, brings together all actors of the Ugandan organic farming sector. In 2010, NOGAMU started a project with the financial support of the TDC. It helps some 4,000 farmers to get positioned on the market and to meet the growing demand for organic products. In 2012 they will participate to BioFach.
